Tianshu Gong has made several innovations in oil painting, in terms of both subject and medium. Her work depicts the images of ancient Chinese sculptures of women on plexiglass, which presents a perspective of contemporary reflection on traditional culture. The original function of ancient sculpture has gradually faded in present society, but the artistic and aesthetic value still attract attention. Thus, Tianshu attempts to re-endow the cultural semantics of the sculpture from the shape and expression of the figure. Simultaneously, she adds internet pop culture elements such as bullet curtains, rethinking traditional art with the help of visual impact.
